Latest update: Build 2.006 released 1/8/2007

This version fixes a few minor issues that we have encountered.
Please note: this update only applies to the Australian Business Database 2007.

There are two downloads to choose from depending on where your Australian Business Database is installed on your computer.

If it's installed in C:\program files\screechmedia\abd\ choose this one:

download now abd_s.exe (544kb)

If it's installed in C:\program files\infologic\abd\ then choose this one:

download now abd_i.exe (544kb)

First question - how do I know where my Australian Business Database is installed?

You could have a look at the properties of the shortcut or use "My Computer" to navigate to the folder Program files and have a look.

How do I install the new file?
Once you have downloaded the file the rest is simple. Just open the file from the location it was downloaded to. That may be the desktop or a folder where you save your downloads to. Can't help you there - everyone is a bit different about where they put their files.

The new version is a self-executing and self installing compressed file. All that means is that is will install to the correct folder. During the installation it will tell you that the file already exits. Click on the "Yes" button to replace the old file.

If you get the Microsoft paranoia messages about safe to install etc. just say "yes".

You may want to keep the old file. If so, navigate to the folder and rename the file before you install the new one. For example rename abd.mdb to abd_old.mdb. That way you can always turn back the clock. If we only we could do that with everything else!
